Party plates
I wrote in my previous posts that I was going to make some party plates for my daughters birthday and so I did! I picked up some porcelain markers at the hobby store. The markers are from the brand Hobby Line (a German brand). I also bought 2 small plates.
I wish I would have bought some carbon paper, so I could have first digitized my design and then copied it onto the plate, but I forgot. I always forget to buy things when I go into the store, even when I write it down… I blame the lack of sleep.
Anyway so I put my idea onto my plates and then I had put them 90 minutes into the 160C. degrees oven. I am not happy with the Hobby Line markers. The paint just comes off easily. You only have to scratch it with your nail and your design is ruined. The markers were over 2 euros each. I even tried to put the plates in the oven longer and with a higher temperature but it didn’t help. To give the brand the benefit of the doubt, it could have been that the plates should have been without this shiny layer, but the hobbystore sold them next to these markers, so I figured they would work well together. It’s either the plates or the markers…
Here are my plates. I did enjoy making them and would love to do more in the near future, but with better material!

Thank you for your review. I was going to try out those markers for a gift for a friend… This means, it’s not worth the work.
Happy weekend!
